Did you know that school secretaries and caretakers aren't entitled to access pensions? Members of the Fórsa Union began a period of indefinite strike today.

We ask parents to please note that for the duration of the strike, our school office will be unattended. Phone calls may not be answered and Joanne will not be in her office, nor will she be able to assist with enquiries. We ask for patience and understanding for the duration of the strike.

All support for Joanne and school secretaries and caretakers is welcome as they seek to achieve pension parity.

Sign this pledge to support the campaign of schools secretaries and caretakers for pension parity -

Throwback to when we celebrated our Green School Flag for Global Citizenship – Energy on June 17th with a special flag-raising ceremony.

The Green School Committee read out a thoughtful poem on conserving energy. Ms. Collier and Ms. Jennifer Byrne led the whole school in singing the Green School Song. To mark the occasion, pupils designed their own t-shirts showing how they conserve energy. Finally, everyone gave a huge cheer as two of our Green School Committee members raised our brand-new Green Flag!

We’re so proud to announce that Scoil Aodán Naofa has been awarded the SFI Curious Minds Gold Award 🥇💡🧪🔬

Even more exciting - we're one of just seven schools in Co. Wicklow to receive this Gold Award.👏🏻 👏🏻

On Friday June 13th, 2025 the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless TD announced the worthy recipients. The prestigious awards give recognition to schools for their curiosity-driven learning in science, technology, engineering and maths.
